HAPPY 2018!!!!!! A new year is upon us, which means new resolutions yippee! Resolutions are always important to think about for a new year. Resolutions can help guide you to where you want to go, and take you to places you never thought possible.

The past few years I have taken the whole “resolutions” thing a bit differently. Instead of setting goals to reach I set out to accomplish growth. Growth in my walk with Christ, growth in health, and growth in my passions. Personally I never liked goals. They freaked me out and felt unobtainable. But growth…growth I could do. Growth can be large or small, and growth doesn’t feel as restrictive as goals do.

Along with growth, I also have two phrases that I’ll try to live by. Last year was all about trusting God and learning how to love the way Jesus does. (you can read more about that journey by clicking here!) This year is all about saying yes more and getting out of my comfort zone. The lord has been putting it on my heart lately that I need to work on these, because they are holding me back from doing the things he wants me to do.

It may seem silly to say no to God, but it does happen. I get scared, self conscious and question why me. But that just isn’t going to cut it anymore. It’s a new chapter of life now that I am graduated. No more excuses, delays, or backtracking. It’s time to “live a life full of full of abandon whimsey and in love” as the wonderful Bob Goff says in Love Does.

2018 will be filled with “YES!” and getting out of comfort zones. It will be filled with creativity, color, joy, love, and kindness. It will be a year of living Happily Inked by God’s love.

So what are your resolutions/goals for 2018? Are you going to go climb a mountain? Learn how to play an instrument? Run a marathon?? Learn how to cook?! Whatever it may be, do it with excitement and joy because 2018 is your year.
